About Us

Who Are We?

I always had a love for travel. Since my first trip to Walt Disney World, back in the late 70s, through my South American and European trips as a teenager in the 80s, I knew wanted to work in the hospitality industry and travel around the world. I used to tell my grandparents that one day I would own a hotel on my own private island and they can live there with me.  To capture my dream, I went to Boston University’s School of Hospitality Management and graduated with a Bachelor of Science. Afterward, I pursued my MBA in hopes of gaining experience working with a large hospitality company. As what happens with many people, my career moved in a different direction. I landed a career as a global HR Technology consultant and it gave me opportunities to explore the world  I have traveled through North America, South America, Western Europe, Asia, and Oceania. I love traveling as much as hearing the experiences of others’ travels. 

I married my best friend of 25 years in 2008 and now have a travel partner. It is a joy watching him get the same exhilaration from traveling as I do! Since we have been married we have traveled to many more locations and have found that traveling together is an opportunity to reengage with each other, appreciate life, relax, and share new experiences.

Why Blogging?
After a trip to Hawaii, I realized that not only did I want to capture the pictures, but I also wanted to capture the experience. I know the older I get the less I will remember, and I would love to go back and read about my fabulous experiences.
